Program Description

Be a part of the culinary world by enrolling in Chef Services, Catering Services, and Restaurant Management. There is a demand for culinary professionals who can prepare food that is both delicious and appealing. Students will learn hot and cold food production, nutrition, supervision, pastry/baking, food service management and stewarding. Students apply skills learned in the Metro Café and in catering events.

Chef and Catering Services prepares students for the academic requirements of the working pastry chef, certified culinarian and pastry culinarian by the American Culinary Federation. Work experience is needed to complete certification requirements for these occupations.

The following programs are available:

Chef Services prepares students for hot food cook, bakery cook and manager.

Catering Services prepares students for caterer and restaurant manager.

Restaurant Management prepares students for entry-level restaurant manager.

Entry Level $10.50 - $16.75
Catering $22,800+/year
