College Alliance
College Credit through Cooperative Alliance Agreements
Metro Technology Centers and Oklahoma State University-OKC (OSU-OKC) joined forces in an Alliance approved by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education to better equate the training at Metro Tech to the quality and level of the college curriculum so Metro Tech students can receive more college hours and transition to OSU-OKC to complete their degree. Although we have been actively co-enrolling in cooperative career majors for over twenty years, we continue to expand agreements to include college credit in a variety of career majors.
In addition, to the money and time saving of completing an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree, OSU-OKC has Tech Connect scholarships available to assist students financially.
College credit is available for the majority of Metro Tech’s Career Majors. College hours are also available by the following colleges, depending on the career major, through an Alliance Agreement between the colleges and Metro Tech.
Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC)
Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City (OSU-OKC)
Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology, Okmulgee (OSU-IT)
Rose State College

Degree Transfer
The Associate of Applies Science (A.A.S.) . degree is more of a terminal degree. Each institution is different in how they will accept the A.A.S. degree. Most colleges will transfer the general education courses from the degree and may accept some of the courses as electives. Some colleges may not have a corresponding degree to transfer any of the technical college credits toward. University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in Edmond, Oklahoma, will accept the A.A.S. toward a Bachelor of Applied Science. Please go to www:uco.edu.
A college transcript is a valuable credential for employment and military points toward promotions.
