The Metro Career Academy houses the BEST program and the Job Readiness and Structured Job Search Program (JR & SJS) which are designed for recipients of Temporary Aid for Needy Families. It is also home to the preventive and dropout recovery program called MCA: The Metro Career Academy for which the campus is named.

MCA students between the ages of 16 to 21 are able to enroll in this full service community school. The goals of a full service community school is to meet all the needs of the student and his or her family so to make enable the student to obtain a high school diploma with a successful educational experience.
