The Oklahoma City Aviation/Aerospace Alliance

Student and instructor in powerplant hangerThe Oklahoma City Aviation/Aerospace Education Alliance is a confederation of public education institutions serving the Oklahoma City metropolitan area involved in the delivery of training and academic degree programs in the field of aviation and aerospace. The Alliance consists of agreements among its member institutions relating to training, academic degrees, research programs, resource sharing, and cooperative student service programs.

The mission of the Oklahoma City Aviation/Aerospace Alliance is to improve overall quality, effectiveness, and efficiency in the development, implementation, and administration of aviation/aerospace programs delivered by public education institutions serving the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.

College students working on small aircraftFor high school students planning a future in the aviation industry, the Oklahoma City Aviation/Aerospace Education Alliance has programs to help them attain their goals. The Alliance partnership enables students to begin aviation training in high school through the Oklahoma Career and Technology educational system, continue in a two-year college program and ultimately earn a bachelor's degree through a university without duplicating courses or taking unnecessary classes.

For the adult student who wants to learn to fly, who seeks a career change, who wants to move into aviation management, or who needs to develop advanced skills in aviation/aerospace technology, the Alliance provides several degree options through cooperative programs within the partnership. During my years with the FAA, one of the highlights has been to see our employees gain new insights into technology to help aviation grow.  Education and training are the keys.  I am excited about the Oklahoma City Aviation/Aerospace Education Alliance.  It opens several new career paths to allow you, the student, tremendous opportunities to become a part of this challenging and rewarding industry.  That education is available in the Oklahoma City area.  See your counselor and plan a career in aviation.
